VAL D'ORCIA IS BORN AGAIN AT THERMAE
Already in 2004 the Commission designated by UNESCO to establish what was worthy of being declared a World Heritage Site, considering the territory of our beloved Val d'Orcia was no big doubts, claiming that the pictures of this valley, especially as regards its landscapes, where is the harmonious relationship of people with nature, have had and still have the value of real of Renaissance icons, begin able to radically affect the concept of the landscape in the collective imagination.
We would not know to add more to such a clear certification flattering, indeed we have always been proud of our country and its most authentic features. Val d'Orcia and Spa is still a still largely unexplored combination. Perhaps for the majesty of the other elements, such as Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the superfine meat of our Chianina or red Chianti vineyards. The fact is that it is not always clear that the Val d'Orcia is a territory not only for the well-being of the papillae, but also for that of the rest of the body.
Our Montepulciano Terme putting themselves in the prestigious wake of a fruitful land of thermal water, indicated to treat and prevent various forms of diseases.
We think, for example, in San Quirico d'Orcia, where the waters flow directly to 51 degrees in a large tank of 1500, suitable for balneotherapy, inhalation treatments, mud therapy. Or to those of San Casciano dei Bagni, with 42 average temperatures of 40 degrees sources, already appreciated by the Romans, possibly because of their proximity to the Via Cassia. The water flow rate of about 5.5 million liters per day places them among other things to the third place in Europe. Even the baths of San Filippo, famous for its sulphurous waters and for white limestone deposits, which make them particularly attractive; the thermal spas of San Giovanni and those Querciolaia in Rapolano Terme.
In short, with the Val d'Orcia and our hotel in Montepulciano you will live your own Renaissance.
